3DExport wouldn't be an ideal choice for any kind of a clever virtual money laundering scheme, or whatever it is you are implying here, as 40% goes into waste as fees towards this website.

There are way more economical sites for selling just about any virtual pieces of material. It is always possible that those models are just really popular. Warhammer stuff just might sell like hotcakes to 3d printing boardgames enthusiasts i donno. Maybe some friends of the seller chipped in, or the seller themself bought some of their own items in the hopes of pumping up sales by artificially putting them on the top selling list.

The website's admins tend to sooner or later filter most items, and if there are no digital media files to be found the accounts will be promptly deleted.

There are fantastic stuff around here yes, fantastic and.. highly specialized. I really hope they are 'left-overs' from their earlier projects/jobs, because if they are made directly for 3DExport selling, they are doing it wrong. Nobody* is
interested in a very specific, highly not customizable dragon done in a World of Warcraft style. Or a very artsy octopus with gl***** and cap & gown on grabbing eight rolled up diplomas in each tentacle (i swear there are stuff like that). Very nicely done, very technically great... but it was either the recent one time need of a workplace, or the artist had way too much free time :D

Whatever the case is, buyers don't look for that. They usually want quality, but basic building blocks of projects they are working on. Base models, variation packs of versatile things without a specific limiting artistic style, that sorta thing. Some can screw up even that, i know a guy here who practically has a dozen different rock formation models, and he just keeps on pumping them up with differently tinted textures all the time. He's got like four thousand items whoaa. But i have my doubts about his selling success.

And sure, with the advent of 3d printing, grey forms of popular stuff.
