The concept of the Baby Lunar Cruiser is designed to be equipped with four electric motors, one for each wheel, which would allow it to move smoothly on the lunar surface. The absence of traditional tyres is compensated by air-filled wheels that do not risk deflating. The all-wheel drive, combined with the raised trim, should ensure excellent off-road capabilities even in extreme conditions.

Toyota has not released precise technical details on autonomy and specific equipment of this concept. He said that the design was inspired by the lunar rover actually being developed together with the Japanese space agency, Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA); but this will not be just a virtual model but a working vehicle, Intended for future exploration missions to the Moon.
